一、术语处理
1. 使用标准术语
优先参考国际通用的医疗器械术语标准，如ISO、IEC等相关标准中的术语。例如，“catheter”（导管）这样的标准术语应直接使用，而避免使用生僻或自创的词汇。
对于一些有多种译名的术语，选择最被广泛接受的译名。比如“defibrillator”，统一译为“除颤器”，而不是使用一些不常见的译名。
2. 简化术语解释
当遇到复杂的术语时，如果有简洁的通俗解释方式，可在首次出现时加以注释。例如，“electrocardiogram (ECG)，a test that records the electrical activity of the heart”，简单地将“ECG”解释为记录心脏电活动的测试，既简洁又便于理解。
二、句子结构
1. 短句为主
尽量将长句拆分成短句。例如，原句“The medical device which is designed for the treatment of a variety of diseases and has a complex structure and advanced functions should be carefully operated.”可改为“The medical device is designed for treating various diseases. It has a complex structure and advanced functions. It should be carefully operated.”
2. 避免复杂语法结构
减少使用嵌套结构、虚拟语气等复杂语法。例如，不要使用像“Had it not been for the proper calibration of the medical instrument, the measurement result would have been inaccurate.”这种较复杂的虚拟语气句子，而改为简单的“If the medical instrument is not properly calibrated, the measurement result will be inaccurate.”
三、用词选择
1. 选择常用词
避免使用过于专业、生僻的词汇，除非是特定的医疗器械术语。例如，用“use”而不是“utilize”，“help”而不是“facilitate”等。
2. 去除冗余词汇
像“in order to”这样的短语，如果可以用“to”代替，就选择更简洁的“to”。例如，“In order to start the device, press the button.”改为“To start the device, press the button.”
